Call for Application Artist in Residence 2008

This Call for Residency is open to all artists working trans disciplinary in the fields of media & video art, dance and performance.

nomad.theatre maintaining the venue LABfactory (established as a not- for- profit platform for artists working on contemporary and trans disciplinary forms in performance, art and media) is promoting artists working on the cutting edge’s of science/theory, contemporary forms of media/art, performance and technologies. Evaluating, challenging contemporary cultural narratives, focussing on cross-sector-collaborations. Primal intention of nomad.theatres AIR-Program is to support communication and research as well as collaborative actions in art- and media-productions, connecting and sharing projects and products as well as producers knowledge and experience, encouraging trans national communication and interaction, supporting trans national mobility and competency of cultural players. In order to establish sustainable but pluralistic political and social collectives of cultural workers outside restrictions of nation or canon.

Duration of Residency: 3 Months.

Conditions: nomad.theatres central position in Vienna offers a broad social Network of artists, performers, scientists and programmers. Free access to Workspace and Workstations. High definition editing-Studio. Technical support and high equipped space for technical as well as artistic development, productions and rehearsals. Accomodation, monthly fees and travel allowance.

Aims of the Residency: Participation in and Advancement of current regional
and trans national projects as SCREEN.tv.

Artists are invited to send project-proposal and submission
for Vienna 2008 until 30.01.2008.
